What one piece of advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
Say yes to every opportunity!
You find £20 down the back of the sofa, what do you spend it on?
A bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine.
If you could spend 20 minutes with a successful or famous businessperson, who would you choose and why?
Christine Kelly, founder of Little Kickers. Christine started her business because of a lack of sports classes for her children and as part of a desire to have a flexible career. From there her business grew and she now has hundreds of franchises across the world. We set up Pink Spaghetti because of our families and a desire to work flexibly. 10 years on we now have over 40 franchises and our aspirations are similar to Christine’s. It is really inspirational to see her journey and we hope we can achieve the same level of success.
If you could be stuck in a lift with any two people, who would you choose and why?
Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn to hear their debate.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years’ time?
Living by the sea overseeing Pink Spaghetti worldwide! (You have to dream!)
What’s been your personal highlight since joining 2020?
Meeting and being able to support so many fantastic business women.
What’s the best thing about being a member of 2020?
The collaboration between its members. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive of each person’s successes.
You have 20 days holiday to spend away from your business, where and how will you spend it?
Travelling with my family across New Zealand and Australia. We have been to both twice before we had a family and I would love to take the children there. There is so much to see and explore.
What will you be doing at (the time) 20:20 tomorrow evening?
Collecting my son from football training!
What advice would you give to a woman starting out in their first 2 years of business?
Take advice and help where it is offered. Also don’t be afraid to outsource the tasks you can’t or don’t want to do. Stay true to why you set your business up and focus on the tasks you love doing.
You can have 2 minutes time with a famous person. Who would you choose to spend it with and why?
Daniel Craig. Need I say more!
Tell us 2 things the rest of the 2020 members might not know about you.
- I jumped out of a plane when I was 16 (I did have a parachute).
- I love playing tennis and I play regularly for my local club.
Thanks Vicky! Next time, we’ll be shining the spotlight on Ellen Kitson of Kitson Architecture.
