FAQ’s

Can I visit the group before joining?

Yes. If we have a vacancy for someone in your sector, you are welcome to visit up to two meetings before deciding whether or not you’d like to join us. The visitor’s fee is £20 and this includes meeting attendance, a hot lunch and a donation to CAFT.

To visit, head over to the ‘Visit Us’ page and fill out the form.

Why should I choose 2020 Network?

You’ll find lots of women’s business networking groups in the Cheshire and Greater Manchester area, but we believe 2020 is unique as a not-for-profit group. In 2020, we donated £7,000 to CAFT. Our meetings generate business referrals and are informal, collaborative and above all, enjoyable.

How often do you meet?

We meet every month on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings run from 12pm – 2pm.

Are you looking for members in my sector?

Take a look at our members’ directory . If you can’t see someone in your field, then we may have a vacancy. The best way to check is to contact a Committee member .

What if you don’t have a vacancy for someone in my sector?

If you are keen to join, we will happily keep your details on file and contact you if/when we have a vacancy for your sector. Alternatively, you are welcome to attend our open event, which takes place once a year – usually in autumn – and is not restricted by sector. Follow our social feeds for details.

How much does membership cost?

The monthly membership fee is £30, payable by standing order on the 1st of the month.

How do my monthly fees reach CAFT?

We make an annual donation to CAFT, usually announced at our annual open networking celebration event. We have a close relationship with the people at CAFT and they know they can ask us for a donation if there is something they need.

How do I become a member?

If you would like to join us head over to our ‘Join Us page and fill out the form. Alternatively, you can contact the committee directly. You’ll find them at the top of the ‘members page.

Can I cancel if I decide the group is not for me?

Yes, you may cancel your membership at any time by contacting a member of the Committee. There is no cancellation notice period. You must cancel your own standing order as we cannot action this for you.

How else can I get involved with CAFT?

As a member of the 2020 Network, you automatically become a supporter of CAFT via donation through your monthly membership fee. There are lots of other ways to support CAFT, through making a donation, fundraising or volunteering. All our members are free to get involved in any way they can. From volunteering at events to raising money through sporting challenges. Check out their website for more info – CAFT
